Our story
Luna is Spanish for moon. The moon doesn't chase the darkness away — it simply shows up, steady and quiet, and offers enough light to find your way through it. We chose a Spanish name on purpose: this agency was founded by a Hispanic nanny, for families like ours.
We started Little Luna Placement for moms and families in need — the parent going back to work too soon, the household stretched thin by schedules and sleepless nights, the family simply trying to give their little one everything they deserve. In those seasons, you don't need a stranger in the house. You need someone you trust.
Our deepest inspiration is bilingual families. So many North DFW households are raising children between two languages and two cultures — Spanish at abuela's table, English at school — and that heritage deserves to be protected, not lost. We place caregivers who speak, sing, read, and play in both languages, so little ones grow up at home in every world they belong to.
That's why we match so carefully. The right nanny is more than a caregiver — she becomes part of the family. She learns how your child giggles, what settles them, how they're growing. The story behind Little Luna
Little Luna Placement was born from my own experience as a nanny. After nearly seven years of caring for children and working closely with families, I've seen firsthand how meaningful the right nanny–family relationship can be — and how overwhelming it can feel for parents to find someone they can truly trust with the most important people in their lives.
I created Little Luna Placement to make the process feel more personal, intentional, and reassuring — connecting families with caregivers who are not only qualified and trustworthy, but who genuinely fit their family's needs, values, and lifestyle. Every family deserves to feel confident in the person they welcome into their home, and every child deserves care that feels safe, loving, and consistent.

How does the placement process work?
You start with a short inquiry form, then we schedule a consultation call to shape the role — hours, responsibilities, and compensation. From there we send a curated short list of vetted nannies, coordinate interviews and a paid trial day, and help you finalize the offer.
How long does it usually take to find a nanny?
Most families meet their first candidates within two weeks and complete a placement in three to five weeks. Highly specialized roles — newborn specialists, bilingual caregivers, or travel-heavy positions — can take a little longer.
How do you screen and vet caregivers?
Every nanny goes through our seven-point process: in-depth interview, verified work history, a minimum of two reference calls, national and county background checks, driving record review, current CPR and First Aid certification, and identity verification.
What do your services cost?
Placement fees vary based on the level of care and your family's needs, so we quote each search individually after the consultation call. Reach out through our contact form for a personalized quote — there's no cost to inquire.
Do you offer any guarantee?
Yes. If a permanent placement doesn't work out within the first 90 days, we'll conduct a replacement search at no additional placement fee, subject to the terms in your agreement.
